Copy of Invite to Congressman Steve Kagan

Tax Day Tea Party
---------------------------

Congressman Kagan,

I have met you on several occasions, the most recent being the Peshtigo parade, where I had the pleasure of a handshake and quick talk. I was (and am) encouraged by your position against wasteful spending as detailed here: "Bring it back"

Given that you stand up against wasteful spending, I encourage you to attend the Tax Day Tea Party protest in Appleton on Wednesday April 15th from 5:30pm - 7:00pm. This is a non-partisan event open to anyone who shares our common concern against earmarks and excess.

In your own words, the people of NEW are "fiscally responsible and socially progressive". It's time to back us, the fiscally responsible, that sent you to Washington to fight for us. Your attendance will show those in Washington, D.C. that Northeastern Wisconsin does not appreciate this wasteful spending.

A poignant line you used during your 2006 campaign, "It's irresponsible to burden our children with billions of dollars of debt!" Right on! This burden is *exactly* what we are going to be rallying against.

You are fighting for us. We are going to stand up and let our voices be heard. Please let your voice, the voice of the 8th congressional district, join ours and ring the loudest! Maybe, just maybe Washington, D.C. will hear us and begin this process of 'change', in earnest.

You can find the information about the rally here:

We are meeting at Fox Banquets, 111 E. Kimball, Appleton at 5:30pm.

I look forward to seeing you there!
